Rick is a well-known marketing and communications expert - a brand builder, corporate operator, entrepreneur, strategist and trusted advisor. He has decades of experience running local and international communications firms, overseeing global brand portfolios and advising both challenger brands and digital start-ups. He is known for building brands, growing culture, leading people and a passion for strategically brilliant creative work that drives business. A veteran executive of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Rick served as Worldwide Managing Director, President of Ogilvy Los Angeles, member of the Ogilvy Worldwide Board of Directors and Global CEO of OgilvyAction (now, Geometry). Today, Rick is CEO and founder of Roth Partners, a boutique brand advisory delivering integrated marketing solutions through tailored engagement of cross channel experts. Roth Partners was created to offer marketers a more effective model of Brand Care - to move brands to real advantage by integrating brand strategy, brilliant creative work and path to purchase wisdom. Over the years, Rick has overseen integrated communications for hundreds of well-known brands around the world, across diverse cultures and targets. He’s worked in many categories of business from cereal, confection, specialty foods, coffee, soft drinks and beer to children’s toys, personal care, cosmetics, fashion, travel & leisure, publishing, bio-medical, manufacturing, construction, technology and software. Rick is a Director and Board Advisor to several B2C and B2B businesses across digital, e-commerce, CPG, Shopper Marketing, Bio-Medical and SaaS platforms. He's particularly partial to assisting brands that deserve to challenge their markets and purposeful companies committed to societal good. An investor and advisor in such companies, Rick is a founding member of the Private Equity firm, Meaningful Partners. Rick has served on the Board of Directors of the Ogilvy Group, the Times Square Alliance, The American Camp Association, Vertical Acuity and Scribit. Board of Advisor roles include digital media, tech, CPG, Bio-Med, and Non-Profit: AnchorFree, GlobeIn, Powered Analytics, SalesWise, Outlaw Beverages, Phoenix Media Group and Peace First. He has also served on the steering committees of the Ithaca College Business School and IC’s Park School of Communications.
