Robert M. Parker, Jr. is the most celebrated and authoritative voice in wine today having founded The Wine Advocate in 1978 with a strict no-advertisement policy supported by 50,000 subscribers worldwide. He later founded eRobertParker.com, the most comprehensive and oft-visited wine site providing the same meaningful, independent and accurate critical commentaries on wine. Parker influences the buying habits of serious wine consumers and trends worldwide receiving acclaim from dignitaries, presidents and leading news organizations around the world, including Time, 60 Minutes, The New York Times, The Financial Times and The Economist.

Parker has authored books on wine, created a legacy endowment for wine education and held a highly satisfying career doing what he loves. He holds a bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Maryland, currently covers the wines of Rhone Valley, Bourdeaux and older vintages of California and elsewhere. Parker lives in Maryland with his wife, daughter and many basset hounds and English Bulldogs.
