Robert had been a stained glass artist and a high school English teacher, and at age 50, when he felt like a hypocrite for telling my students they should be life-long learners, he decided to follow his own advice and went back to school to get a PhD in English literature. Once retired, he became a print maker specializing in wood block prints and wood engravings. And now he's learning how to sew and design clothes so he can try out for Project Runway with his daughter (the real fashion designer in the family).
