Sabrine Ingabire

21-year-old Law student, published writer and activist

Sabrine Ingabire is a 21-year-old student and published writer. She was born in Rwanda in 1995, and fled to Brussels, Belgium, at the age of four, where she learned French. She then moved to Ninove, Flanders, where she spent an important part of her formative years. After graduation, she returned to Brussels. She is currently enrolled in a law programme and wants to earn a degree in Human Rights. Her first novel, entitled “Le Chemin vers le Bonheur”, was published in March 2016 (Editions Chloé des Lys). Sabrine started writing the book when she was fourteen, with no intention of publication. Through the encouragement of friends and family, the book came out five years after its completion. At the moment, she is working on a second novel. In addition to fiction, she writes articles and columns pertaining to feminism, politics, social injustice and other relevant contemporary issues. https://sabrineingabire.wordpress.com/
