Executive Director of the California Coastkeeper Alliance

Sara Aminzadeh is the Executive Director of the California Coastkeeper Alliance, a non-profit organization uniting 12 local Waterkeeper programs to fight for swimmable, fishable and drinkable waters for California communities and ecosystems. California Coastkeeper Alliance is part of the international Waterkeeper Alliance, which is a network of water advocates with more than 200 programs in 21 countries on six continents. Sara first gained an appreciation for thriving coastal ecosystems logging hours at the Santa Barbara Aquarium's touch tanks, tracking endangered foxes on Santa Cruz Island, and removing non-native species from Goleta Slough. Sara holds a B.A. in environmental studies and political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
