Sara Lieberman

Writer, editor, wanderer, founder of News Girl About Towns

Sara Lieberman has edited pop culture and lifestyle features for the past 12 years, starting in print at Bob Guccione Jr.'s men's mag, Gear, and then moving to digital at Alloy.com and Seventeen, and back to print again at The Post and Page Six Magazine where she worked on the Sunday features section and quarterly glossy for nearly seven years.

In January 2013, Sara participated in a company-sponsored job exchange, for which she moved to London and swapped roles with a journalist at Britain's biggest weekly magazine, Fabulous. To document their three-month, fish-out-of-water experience, the pair launched a blog called New Girls About Towns, which has amassed a loyal following.

When the program ended in April, Sara decided to pursue freelance full-time, focusing on rebranding the blog and travel journalism, with a side of style for good measure. (This past Fashion Week, she was a contributing editor at The Daily Front Row.) Her work has appeared in Cosmopolitan UK and Urbis in New Zealand, as well as on Fodor's Travel and AFAR.com.
