Selina Juul is Founder and Chairman of the Board of Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark (Stop Spild Af Mad) - Denmark’s largest non-profit movement against food waste. She is a member of the global coalition against food losses and food waste Champions 12.3, partner of the United Nations SAVE FOOD initiative, the FAO/UNEP Think.Eat.Save campaign, the EU FUSIONS project and is a member of the European Commission’s EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste. She is also a contributor to over 23 Danish and international books and publications on food waste, contributor to the global Food Loss & Waste Protocol Accounting and Reporting Standard, TEDx speaker and Blogger on food waste at The Huffington Post. Stop Wasting Food has over 64,000 supporters - among them MP’s and MEP’s as well as Denmark’s former Prime Minister. Since 2008, Stop Wasting Food has both initiated and participated in over 200 local, national and international projects, events, campaigns, charity projects, research projects, debates and many other activities in the fight against food waste and collaborates with many Danish and international stakeholders. For her ongoing work against food waste Selina Juul received The Womenomics Influencer Award, Nordic Council Nature and Environment Prize, Cross of Merit Pro Utilitate Hominum of Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller and many other awards and acknowledgments. Since 2008, Stop Wasting Food has been covered by Danish and international press more than 7,000 times and has also been featured on BBC and CNN. The BBC video on Facebook got over 27 million views.
