Sharon King Hoge has an extensive background in print and broadcast media and in public relations. Currently a media consultant and writer, she is a Contributing Editor at “Conde Nast Traveler” and “Global Traveler” and is Editor at Large for the Cottages & Gardens magazines. Her broadcast career includes producing and on-air work at WIND Radio and WLS-TV in Chicago and at ABC-TV, CNBC, and the Food Network. For her reporting at WBZ-TV in Boston she was named Consumer Reporter of the Year.
She has served as an Events Organizer for the Outdoor Life Channel, the “New Yorker Magazine,” and Fleet Bank. Her consulting work includes work for www.MarthaStewart.com and creating the annual “The Week Magazine” Opinion Awards.
A native of North Dakota, she studied at Wheaton College in Massachusetts and at the JFK School at Harvard University. She resides in New York, travels extensively, and keeps eight small homes in Ireland, Nova Scotia, Florida, Connecticut, and New York State.
