Sarah Lyman Kravits

Writer on grief, cancer, and crisis at www.lifewithoutjudgment.com. Student success author and teacher.

A student success teacher, critical thinking expert, and co-author of Pearson's Keys to Success textbook series for over twenty years, Sarah's life was upended in June of 2014 when her brother and only sibling was killed by a drunk driver. Her grief drove her to write about her experience, with the goal of helping others cope with grief and set aside toxic judgment. Sarah blogs regularly at her website www.lifewithoutjudgment.com, and her work has been featured on sites devoted to grief support -- she is a contributing writer at Open to Hope (opentohope.com), and her piece "My Sudden-Onset Only Child Syndrome" appeared on Modern Loss (modernloss.com). As the Sibling Representative on the national Board of the Bereaved Parents of the USA, Sarah leads workshops focused on sibling loss and works with BP/USA to increase support for bereaved siblings. Also a cancer veteran, Sarah gives workshops to cancer patients and survivors, and blogs about coping with life following cancer treatment.
