Educator and editor
Justin Snider teaches writing at Columbia University, where he is also an assistant dean and academic advisor to 300 undergraduates. A California native, he has taught students -- from grade 5 to graduate school -- on three continents. Snider's writing has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Boston Globe, Des Moines Register, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, Providence Journal and Washington Monthly. A contributing editor at The Hechinger Report and an expert on U.S. public education, he has been a guest on PBS, CNN and numerous radio shows. Snider is a graduate of Amherst College, the University of Chicago, the University of Vienna, Harvard University and Columbia University.
