Stav Shaffir, a 27-year-old journalist and social activist, charismatic leader of Israel’s social protest movement and candidate for the Labor Party primaries, has become the voice for people from all walks of Israeli society. She travels around the country to listen to the dreams of high school students and the concerns of workers. She represents the disenfranchised and speaks truth to power, through testimony in Time Magazine, The New York Times and on the BBC, among others. Her columns have been published in the Israeli press, including Haaretz, Yedioth Aharonot, The Marker, Ynet and the Jewish Review of Books.
