Stephen Knudsen is the senior editor and critic for the print glossy, ARTPULSE magazine. He is also a contributing arts writer for Hyperallergic, NY Arts magazine, Professional Artist Magazine, and the SECAC Review Journal. He is a contributor of art historical essays and is the co-developer the aesthetics comparison tool used in the acclaimed art history website theartstory.org. He has taught painting and art theory as a university professor for the past 21 years and is a full professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is the senior editor and compiler of the forthcoming anthology text The ART of Critique/Re-imagining Professional Art Criticism and the Art School Critique. The anthology includes essays from 36 top scholars / critics such as Arthur Danto (former critic for The Nation), Hedy Weiss ( Chicago Sun Times critic), Blake Gopnik ( Newsweek critic), Peter Schjeldahl ( New Yorker critic), Boris Groys (author of Art Power ), Laurie Fendrich (arts writer: Chronicle of Higher Education) , and Jim Elkins (author of What Painting Is).
