Stuart Macleod is usually arbitrarily assigned the title of Something-or-Other Producer on documentary series. For Half the Sky he was arbitrarily assigned the title of Unit Manager; nobody is really sure what that means or what he does but they know it requires a lot of yelling. During his career Stuart has been shot at, kidnapped, incarcerated and blown up, often by members of his own crew. He has filmed from the mountains of Afghanistan to the jungles of New Guinea and spends his spare time smuggling trucks of baby food into war zones. Stuart considers his time with Half The Sky as the most fulfilling of his career.
