Suzan Akpinar

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Suzan Akpinar is a junior at St. John’s Prep School in Astoria, NY. Suzan has participated in a variety of Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum programs, including winter vacation workshops, the Sophomore and Junior Scholars programs, and a Digital Curator Internship. After having attended the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum Teen Design Camp in North Carolina this summer, she is considering pursuing a career in architecture. Suzan also participates in the Possibility Project, a Saturday acting program that gives back to the community through contributions of proceeds from events. At St. John’s Prep, she is in the Drama Guild, performs with the Spanish Dance team, and is an award-winning member of the Speech and Debate Team.
