Terrence G. Peterson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, where he is currently writing a book entitled 'Hearts and Minds: The French Army, Algerian Independence, and the Origins of Modern Counterinsurgency, 1954-1962.' He completed his PhD in History at the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2015, and from 2015 to 2016 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation. His research has been supported by the Council for European Studies, the American Historical Association, and the Fulbright Program.
