Lecturer and researcher in positive psychology at the University of East London.

I'm a lecturer in positive psychology at the University of East London, where I help run an MSc combining positive psychology and coaching psychology. I completed my PhD at the University of Westminster in 2012, in which I focused on the impact of meditation on men's mental health. Since then, I've been conducting research into mindfulness, Buddhism, and spirituality. I'm also trying to move into new areas, such as investigating the intersection between language, culture and wellbeing. My latest book, entitled ‘The Darkness and the Dawn: The Value of Sadness and other Negative Emotions,’ will be published by Piatkus in Autumn 2016.
