Tim Shey is one of the founders and head of entertainment of Next New Networks, leading the online television company's creative, programming, and development efforts. The company's hit programming launched since 2007 includes online television networks ThreadBanger, Indy Mogul, Fast Lane Daily, Barely Political (home of Obama Girl), Ultra Kawaii, and Viropop, and the Channel Frederator animated series Nite Fite and The Meth Minute 39, and has racked up 500 million video views to date, more than any other independent media company online.

In 1996, Tim co-founded the interactive agency Proteus, where he was responsible for the first-ever interactive television broadcast in the U.S. using mobile phones during FOX’s Super Bowl XXXVI, and worked on interactive TV and mobile offerings for FOX, NBC, HBO, ABC, and The Discovery Channel. His ten years' work as a creative director included major campaigns for clients including AT&T, Sprint, Sony, The Washington Post, Newsweek, ExxonMobil and Motorola.

Tim has also worked with a number of organizations including People for the American Way and the The Brookings Institution on their interactive strategies, and produced original content for the web and mobile devices including shows like Rocketboom, Amanda Across America, and the animated series Afterworld.
