Virginia Froehling

IT Analyst and Project Management skills with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Human Resource Management.

Virginia Froehling is an IT Analyst that has been working in the high-tech Industry in San Jose, California for the past 17 years. She is currently employed at Cisco Systems located in the Silicon Valley area. Virginia is part of the CIO Business Operations team where she provides analytical and project management support under the Chief of Staff office. She is passionate about her work and loves being in a collaborative environment where her contributions are valued and she can make a positive impact in her role in the company.

Prior to entering the high-tech industry she spent 15 years in the legal field where she worked as a Legal Secretary for several sole practitioners that handled worker’s compensation, divorce, bankruptcy and juvenile court cases. Working in a law office was always her dream as a young child. Virginia was determined right out of high school to enter the legal field and with just a Legal Secretary Certificate from a Vocational school she landed her first job at the age of 19. Attorney’s always seem to have a bad reputation on T.V., however working for attorney’s were some of the best years of her life. Ten of those years were spent in a Corporate Legal Department as a Sr. Legal Administrator at NEC Electronics. The attorneys at NEC were a strong influence in her life; they encouraged Virginia to pursue a college education which was valuable advice that has served her well in her career.

She has a wealth of administrative and project management experience with an exceptional record in planning and managing large scale events. In addition to the high-tech and Legal Industries she also spent a short period working for the CEO of a small drug testing company, PharmChem Labs, Inc. in Menlo Park, California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chapman University and a Master of Human Resource Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Virginia does not believe in all work and no play in life. Using her gifts and talent outside of the work environment is an area she finds extremely rewarding. Virginia volunteers her time in her local church where she spends time supporting the woman’s ministry mentoring program and the prayer team. Participating in the mentoring program allows her the opportunity to share her life experiences and provide biblical counsel to other women. Virginia went to bible school and also holds a diploma in biblical studies from Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California. She loves to encourage women to pursue their purpose and destiny in life by using their God given gifts and talents.

Living such a busy and demanding life style for so many years in the Valley she has learned that you must take time to prioritize the important things in life. Family is at the top of her priority list. She loves to spend time with her family; she has three adult children and three grandchildren. Her friends and family call her by her nickname “Gini”, and cooking and organizing fun social events with them whenever possible brings her such joy and fulfillment.

If working fulltime and volunteering her time isn’t enough, Virginia is your friendly neighborhood Avon lady. She has been an Avon representative for over ten years. She loves the product and not only sells it but uses it herself. Having the cosmetics and various products delivered to her doorstep is a convenient service for any woman with a busy schedule.

Virginia and her husband Brian, whom she met in bible school, live in the Bay Area. Her husband also works in IT as a Project Manager; their occupations tend to keep them tied to a computer during the week, therefore, whenever possible they love to escape to the outdoors to play tennis, bike ride, or just take a leisure walk. They love to take vacations that allow them to disconnect from technology and to just enjoy nature and the great outdoors.
