Wendy Cross

Program Director for NextAid, a Los Angeles-based NGO

Wendy Cross is the Program Director for NextAid, a Los Angeles-based NGO working in Africa to develop and fund sustainable development projects benefiting vulnerable children and women. In this role, she spent two years living in South Africa to oversee the construction of an eco-village children’s home and community center and launching a program to support a community-based project for street youth and vulnerable girls in Kenya. Wendy received a master’s in Sustainable Development with a concentration in Community Development Management from SIT Graduate Institute and holds a bachelor’s degree in Film and Television Production from Chapman University. Wendy recently worked at The Global Fund for Children in Washington, DC as a Grant Writer. Now based in San Francisco, Wendy oversees NextAid’s current Africa program initiatives in maternal health, education, and micro-enterprise, as well as supports the organization’s fundraising and communications.
