BESHTx Closing Reception
Pomona College Museum of Art (Claremont)
This is the final event of the Bureau of Experimental Speech and Holy Theses (BESHTx). The evening features an awards ceremony, an open mic, champagne, toasts, live music, and a performance of G. Douglas Barrett's "We Connect Cage with Eastman," a re-interpretation of Julius Eastman's 1975 performance of John Cage's "Song Books".

RED - A Pop-up Dinner: A Clockwork Orange
LACMA (Miracle Mile)
This ongoing pop-up dining event is inspired by the Stanley Kubrick exhibition currently on view at LACMA. Prepared by LACMA's Executive Chef Jason Fullilove, the theme of the meal is Kubrick's 1971 film "A Clockwork Orange." The three course dinner is followed by a screening of the movie. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8
Hammer Museum (Westwood)
This event is the last of the Hammer's music residency "wild Up." For this final concert, the orchestra-in-residence examines the intersection of visual art and music by exploring the museum's collections and creating new site-specific work. The program also features old works rearranged by "wild Up" composers. During intermission, visitors are invited to walk around the museum to experience work composed specifically for Hammer spaces.
Marc Foxx (Miracle Mile)
Opening reception for an exhibition of works by artist Jason Meadows. This show features installations including freestanding pieces made of metal. On view through January 19, 2013.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9
Mulholland Drive (Locations Vary)
This day long event features a series of site-specific projects in unused public outdoor spaces along the length of Mulholland Drive's 21 miles. Presented by Los Angeles Road Concerts, the event includes installations, carpool happenings, spontaneous readings, and live music along the route. "Mulholland Dérive" features works from more than 110 Los Angeles artists including David Burns, Akina Cox, Eli Langer, Austin Young, and Samantha Cohen.
