You know those weeks that are so rough that you actually consider (a) becoming Hef's #1 girl so that you can move into the mansion and cease to worry about anything but your spray tan (b) faking your own death and escaping to Mexico, and/or (c) actually running away with the circus? We at Broke Girl's Guide are having one of them, and the weekend can't come soon enough -- in fact, our Great-Aunt Susie might pass away around 3 p.m. today (terrible, we know -- but effective!). In honor of her, you should have have a mind-blowingly fun weekend, starting as soon as possible.

Friday

We never thought we would say these words, but you might want to hang out at The Grove this Friday night. Anthropologie is throwing a party in honor of its reopening from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., with drinks, snacks, art, and 10 percent discounts. The Grove will also play host to free Friday night music at the Farmers Market, and if you're still around after 10 p.m., stop by Short Order for their newly-launched late-night happy hour.

But don't worry, if the idea of spending Friday night at a mall sounds like a bad horror movie to you, we have plenty of other suggestions. Downtown, there's the massive American Apparel sale running all weekend from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., with discounts of up to 90 percent. You might want to follow up this sure-to-be-amazing sale with the LA Cocktail Classic at the Vibiana. Tickets costs $75 but include as many high-end cocktails as you can possibly guzzle.

Movie-a-holics might want to check out the double feature of Dr. No and From Russia with Love at the Egyptian, and then sprint over to catch a midnight screening of Ridley Scott's new film Prometheus at the Arclight Hollywood.

Saturday

Start your Saturday by making a beeline to the nearest Pinkberry, where Greek yogurt is being given out for free between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. If said Pinkberry location happens to be the one on the 3rd Street Promenade, make your way to the Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival afterward. Or, if watching people sweat is not your idea of a good time, head straight to the Venice Meet and then the Malibu Beer Festival, because shopping and drinking are everyone's idea of a good time. There's also the Free Day of Fitness, Wellness, & Pampering at the Hotel Casa Del Mar happening on Saturday, but we warn you -- there might be some sweat involved.

The true geeks out there (raise your hands, you know who you are) will want to head to Pasadena for the -- we kid you not -- Jet Propulsion Lab Open House. You might also want to take advantage of Old Pasadena Restaurant Week and then check out the KCRW Summer Nights in the One Colorado courtyard.

If you'd like to spend your Saturday east, but not THAT far east, check out the White Sycamore Pop-up Shop in Silver Lake or some of the covetable sales that are happening Downtown (including Splendid and Current/Elliott). Later, make sure to swing by the opening reception for Rachel Bujalski's photographs at Una Mae, and grab some free coffee at the new Dragon Espresso Bar between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Finally, end your day with a screening of The 40-Year-Old Virgin at Street Food Cinema in Exposition Park, or peruse more works by up-and-coming artists at the Tappan Collective pop-up.

Sunday

This Sunday, go old school at the Beat Swap Meet, and then go REALLY old school with a free performance of The Tempest. After, grab dinner at the Alma pop-up, which will be downtown for just one weekend.

If you'd prefer to stay west, start your morning with breakfast burritos at the always-popular Farmers Market on Main Street in Santa Monica, after which you might want to take advantage of some of DailyCandy's amazing Venice-centric deals. Then, let your excessive consumerism inspire you to go green at the Vision House grand opening in the Palisades. Later, head to Malibu for Blast!, the annual garden party and fundraiser for SASSAS (The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound). We wish you could tell you what that means, but... at least it sounds intriguing, right?
