We're in the thick of summer, which means many travelers are busily planning their family trips to Walt Disney World, where they'll take in not only the wholesome thrills of the park experience, but probably a fair amount of junk food as well. Those looking to stay healthy on their visit to Orlando should head to Epcot center, where so many global foods are on offer that there is always something healthy at hand.

To soothe the panic of those travelling with ravenous children, here is a guide to the healthy and cosmopolitan cuisine of Epcot

Future World

The Garden Grill: Located in The Land Pavilion, the Garden Grill uses locally sourced produce from their own green house that you can overlook from the restaurant and take a ride through before or after your meal! Choose the farmer's salad, garden veggies and rice pilaf.
Sunshine Season Food Fair: Also in the Land Pavilion, SSFA offers lots of custom made sandwiches and salads.
Electric Umbrella: The selection of wraps and salads at this eccentrically named eatery can easily be vegified.

World Showcase

Mexico: Sit down at the San Angel Inn, where burritos and tacos come with and without meat and cheese and beans,veggies, guacamole and salsa can always be added. Hurried travelers can also gobble down the nachos from La Cantina de San Angel with a side of black beans.

Italy: The standbies in mini-Italy are Via Napoli and Tutto Italia, both of which offer broad selections of comfort food dishes that can be easily made to suit your special diet. Vegan pizzas and salads are also offered.

Morocco: Restaurant Marrakesh is the perfect place to explore North Africa dish by dish. There is plenty here for every diet or dieter. The Jasmina Salad and Cous Cous with Vegetables are particularly delicious.

China: Smart travelers choose the vegetable dishes at Nine Dragons, ordering the excellent cucumber salad and vegetable tofu stir fry.

Norway: Akershush Banquet Hall provides a Disney Princess dining experience in a medieval castle-themed restaurant. Go for the vegetable risotto.
