Hours before the second night of the 2012 Republican National Convention hits primetime, the Obama campaign appears to have orchestrated an impressive play to steal the spotlight from Mitt Romney and the convention: hosting an "AMA" (ask me anything) on Reddit. With a verification photo of himself in tow, appropriately sitting at a Macintosh, President Obama endeavored to answer Redditors questions about the Administration and what 's next. Obama also made sure to tweet to his Twitter followers verifying that it was indeed him hosting the question and answer period.

For a campaign that has continued to be ahead of the curve in online organizing, the Reddit AMA again proves the campaign's adeptness with technology and making a play that gives credit to the platform that was responsible for much of the activism organizing around issues like SOPA (the Stop Online Privacy Act that was cited as an attempt to "turn off the Internet" earlier this year).

One for the campaign playbooks.
