Hotels are supposed to allow travelers to step outside the banality of their every day life, but most rooms are extremely boring. There is the bed. There is the minibar. There is the bathroom. There is the closet. These sorts of accommodations offer no break from the monotony and might even make it worse.
With this in mind, we went out in search of the sorts of themed rooms that might allow a traveler to have a truly unique experience. What we found was both impressive and strange. Barbie, speakeasies, even gas stations -- whatever your fancy, there's probably a hotel room themed after it.
