Interstellar is one of the most highly anticipated films of the coming season and perhaps the first Oscar notable of its kind. A big budget blockbuster helmed by director Christopher Nolan known for films like The Dark Knight and Inception. Interstellar opens this weekend and features an A-List cast including last year's best leading man -- Mr. Alright Alright Alright: Matthew McConaughey -- who took home an Oscar for Dallas Buyer's Club. The film also stars Oscar winner Anne Hathaway who took home a golden statuette for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 for Les Miserables and Jessica Chastain who was nominated for Zero Dark Thirty.
I sat down with actor David Gyasi recently to discuss the film, his big-name co-stars and teaming up with director and cinematic visionary Christopher Nolan for an additional run in what is sure to be an awards season favorite. Hear what the British native had to say about that and shooting in the Icelandic outback below.
A BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
