Urgent Appeal from the Family Research Council

I am aware that people who read the Huffington Post don't typically support the Family Research Council but they absolutely, positively need $3.5 million by the end of the year to fight liberal causes.

I got this in the mail this afternoon and wanted to pass it on to as many people as possible. I am aware that people who read the Huffington Post don't typically support the Family Research Council but they absolutely, positively need $3.5 million by the end of the year to fight liberal causes (including onces supported by... the... shhhhhh... ACLU). So I wanted to pass it on for your consideration.

Plastered on the outside envelope in big letters, "Liberals have revealed their 2007 agenda for America." Inside, "94 percent of congressmen who stood with FRC... were reelected." But, "Liberal politicians are more motivated than I've [the 'President's Memo' is from Tony Perkins] seem them in years... They'll be backed by an army of leftist special interest groups from Planned Parenthood to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)." It will be bad, they may "...even criminalize Christian speech." [Does that mean my blog too?] "FRC must finish 2006 in the strongest possible financial position. To do so, we still need to raise $3.5 million before the year ends. I am praying that now is a good time for you to help by sending your special year-end gift - postmarked by December 31." Because, "every battle we fail to show up for will almost certainly be lost."

For all those intersted please send your check to and remember Tony Perkins is currently praying for your gift. Of course, if you know of any homeless shelters in your neighborhood or afterschool programs you might want to consider those as well.... But I guess they don't care enough to send direct mail, so here is the address for FRC:
