Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have been pitted against each other as pop rivals for the better part of the year. As dueling singles have found critics and fans questioning which singer is the reigning princess of pop, Perry is speaking out to quash the rivalry image that exists between the two.

Katy Perry "goes there" with Vogue about two of her high-profile relationships in the magazine's July cover story. The singer says of ex-husband Russell Brand that she "was in love with him when I married him" in 2010. She adds that she hasn't heard from the comedian since Brand sent her a text on New Year's Eve 2011 saying he wanted a divorce, about 14 months later.

According to U.K.'s The Sun, Katy Perry's dad is not too happy about his daughter's career. Firebrand preacher Keith Hudson reportedly called Perry a "devil child" in a string of sermons and urged congregations to "pray for Katy."
