Since 1995, the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards Gala has raised millions of dollars for direct client services at Desert AIDS Project. At the February 9, 2015 gala, over a 1,000 people rose to their feet to give an ovation, and for very good reason!

As Alexis Hunter reported for The Desert Sun:

"Graham Berger Sacks, a young man of 13 years, played keyboard and sang an original song he had written for the event, Something You Can Do. His tenderness and sweet voice added a heartwarming touch to the celebration, resulting in a standing ovation. Sacks, by the way, is the grandson of philanthropists Barbara and Jerry Keller."

Meet Graham's (young & hip) grandmother, Desert AIDS Project Board Chiar Barbara Keller:

Desert AIDS Project has earned a national reputation as one of the most comprehensive HIV/AIDS services providers in the U.S. We are one of only a handful of agencies operating an on-site medical clinic, a full range of client support services, and a comprehensive HIV education and prevention program, including free and confidential HIV testing.

In 2013 and 2014, Desert AIDS Project has been named one of the "Top 20 HIV/AIDS Charities" by About.com, for our high percentage spent on programs vs. overhead (82% in both 2013 and 2014,) our fundraising efforts (raising $100 for every $15 spent,) and our financial transparency.
