After reading this helpful post by Rizvan at John Chow Dot Com:

I wanted to share 2 free blog traffic builders with you.

1: Guest Posting

Guest posting is a powerful way to make friends, to build bonds and to drive your blog traffic, near-term and short term. By guest posting on top blogs from your niche you expand your reach online, make friends with blogging big dawgs and boost your blog traffic and sales.

No joke; even though you do not pay money to make this approach work you will pay. The cost: year’s worth of writing practice, and in patiently serving top bloggers by commenting effectively on their blogs and by promoting them freely through social media and through your blog to build friendships. Your blogging buddies will gladly accept your guest posts, if you practice your writing daily and become a clear, confident writer.

2: Blog Commenting

Ok.

Shout out to Drewry at Drewry News Network, Andrea Torti and Susan Velez.

Each of these rocking bloggers commented on the John Chow post I noted above but also read and comment regularly on Blogging From Paradise. Yep, my blog. See how blog commenting opens doors for you? Those are my blogging buddies. I appreciate the comments they post on my blog. Since I appreciate their comments, and how they read my blog, and since I noticed them on the John Chow post, and since each of my buddies is a skilled blogger, each of them gets some brand recognition on The Huffington Post.

This is the power of blog commenting; the strategy is a simple, clear, fabulous way for a newbie blogger or seasoned veteran to make friends, to drive traffic and to build their blogging business. Oh yeah; blog commenting is a 100% free method too, in terms of not needing to drop any scrilla for publishing a comment.

Of course, ya gotta pay something to make an impact in the blog commenting game. Reading blog posts and publishing an in-depth comment in authentic, personalized fashion for weeks, or months, or years, is the price you pay to use this traffic building and friendship building strategy effectively.

I wanted to share another rocking blog post - this one by Darren Rowse at Pro Blogger - which gives you a good idea of the type of comment that makes a serious impact online. Listen to the podcast and read my comment at the bottom of the blog post:

See what I mean? Set aside 10 to 15 or even 20 minutes to read the blog post and to write a really beefy comment to make that seismic impact. The type of impact that forms friendships, that inspires folks to click your link, to visit your blog and that leads to all types of sugary sweet benefits for all parties involved.
