The race for the Heisman Trophy is on.

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel began his campaign for a second trophy on Saturday -- starting in the second half -- with a three-touchdown performance against Rice. The last winner of the famed stiff-arm trophy has his work cut out for him this season and a pool of voters who may not be enjoying his antics as much as last season.

Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater leads the cast of the Heisman hopefuls aiming to see that Manziel doesn't join Archie Griffin as the only repeat winner of college football's most famous individual honor. Joining Manziel and Bridgewater as early contenders for the prize are a group of talented quarterbacks and running backs as well as a certain defensive player from South Carolina that none of those offensive stars wants to run into.
