This is what I personally have done, and although it is challenging to manage both, it does allow me more flexibility to spend time with my kids and do a job I love.

As a mom, it's important to consider what type of graphic design you want to do and what market you want to be in. For example, you could be in the wedding market and design wedding invitations or you could be in the baby market and design nursery art.
Whatever you decide, this is a great field for creatives who don't mind working hard to grow their client bases.
Web Programming
Luckily, you don't need to go back to school to get a four year degree to learn how to program. There are many accelerated programs available where you can go for a few months and learn how to built websites or apps.
For moms, web programming is great because you can take on smaller projects or bigger ones depending on how busy your schedules is. You can also do contract work and freelance work as a programmer so you don't have to have a traditional 9-5 job.
Ultimately, many moms automatically think of sales or multi level marketing when it comes to starting their own small businesses or making money on the side. However, it's important for moms to know that there are other options for them when it comes to learning new skills and starting profitable businesses from home like the ideas mentioned above.
