Last week I profiled three people who are a bit out of the regular addiction and recovery wheelhouse. The story got a tremendous response—primarily from people involved in the recovery world who are looking to expand their healing even more. And I figure when something works, why not do it over and over again? (Full disclosure: this way of thinking is probably why I ended up an addict.) Regardless, in this continuation of last week’s piece, I’m now presenting you with three more healers who can help enhance sobriety.

Victorine Deych is a leading New York City-based curator of all matters promoting wellbeing, beauty, and lifestyle. As a result, she’s managed to fuse scent within health with her eponymous line of organic and ethically sourced oil blends. No mere oil blender, Deych holds certifications in botanical perfume and holistic nutrition, and her collection, Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll, would surely appeal to any sober person based on name alone. “I felt the need to create something that is not only highly aromatic, sensuous and fun, but that can simultaneously have healing properties and really elevate our lives, as well as the lives of the people that are out there planting, and harvesting and distilling,” Deych says. “It all comes back to Mother Nature.” To check out her oils, click here.

Rebekah “Bex” Borucki, founder of BEXLIFE® and the BLISSED IN® wellness movement, is a force of nature. Let’s put aside, for the moment, the fact that she’s raising five children and runs a full-on fricking farm, shall we? She’s also a TV host, meditation guide, speaker, birth doula, fitness and yoga instructor and the author of You Have 4 Minutes to Change Your Life: Simple 4-Minute Meditations for Inspiration, Transformation and True Bliss. The whole four-minute idea is big with Bex—and for good reason. I mean, who doesn’t have four minutes a day to find relief from anxiety? Check out her nutrition guide here and her YouTube videos here.

Mark Krassner isn’t necessarily the guy you’d imagine would launch a company dedicated to helping pregnant women. For one—not to state the obvious here—he is not, not will he ever be, a pregnant mother. He doesn’t actually have kids yet. But he is someone whose life changed when he discovered meditation. And so his company, Expectful, is dedicated to helping women and couples have healthier pregnancies and happier babies through meditation. Just how is this relevant to recovery, you may ask? Well, plenty of research shows that addiction and substance abuse, among many other risk factors, is something that can develop in the womb as a result of a mother experiencing high stress or trauma.
