'50/50' Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen In Cancer Comedy (VIDEO)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Starring In Real Life Cancer Story

Cancer is no laughing matter. Unless you're Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen, that is.

In, "50/50," a new heart warming comedy based on the real life experiences of screenwriter and Rogen friend Will Reiser, Gordon-Levitt's character Adam is diagnosed with cancer and given a 50/50 chance to survive, giving him a lot of life to reckon with in the short term.

Rogen finds himself in a familiar position, playing the jokester best friend of the patient; the movie is personal for him, and he, and along with friend Evan Goldberg, produced the film, too.

The film hits theaters in September; despite its subject, it presents much lighter fare for Gordon-Levitt compared to his last film, the indie drama "Hesher." He's now beginning work on the next Batman film, while Rogen films "My Mother's Curse" with Barbra Streisand.
