Aaron Rodgers Fake: Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Deked By Packers QB (VIDEO)

WATCH: Aaron Rodgers Fakes Out Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs

Aaron Rodgers was not sacked during the Packers' resounding 35-21 Christmas triumph over the Bears. During his postgame remarks, the Green Bay quarterback even talked about how he was barely touched by defenders. When a third down play in the third quarter broke down, Rodgers scrambled and did his best to avoid a crushing blow that could have nullified the terrific protection afford by his offensive line throughout the night.

Running up the middle of the field on a third-and-five play that began just on the Green Bay side of midfield, Rodgers was scampering downfield, veering to his left, when Bears linebackers Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher began closing in on him. Facing that fearsome duo, Rodgers planted his left foot hard and then slid sideways to his right as both players closed in. With Rodgers having ghosted by them nearly untouched, Briggs and Urlacher collided. Briggs did get enough contact with Rodgers to knock him off balance -- he would fall to the turf after picking up a few more yards. But the hardest hit on the play was between Urlacher's knee and Briggs' helmet. Urlacher would leave the game but return after a short rest.

While this run only covered 12 yards and hardly proved decisive in a game that the Packers already led by two scores, the collision between Urlacher and Briggs still evoked (at least for me) that time that Michael Vick had a pair of Vikings defenders crashing into one another back during his days with the Falcons. FOX announcers for that Falcons-Vikings game, Kenny Albert and Tim Green, felt that Vick was running away with the MVP Award that year but it went to RIch Gannon. Despite being far less accomplished on the ground, one would think that Rodgers' aerial resume would earn him the award this season. Rodgers' five touchdown passes against the Bears was a career best.
