ABC Family's "The Fosters" has been making headlines this summer, as the series depicts a biracial lesbian couple who are also foster parents.

Terri Polo and Sherri Saum play the lesbian couple (with the appropriate last name Foster) and in the scene above Polo's character corrects her father when he proclaims that her lesbianism was a choice.

The reception for "The Fosters" have been good, warranting a recent order of additional 10 episodes to round out the first season.
