Acceptance Creates the Path of Least Resistance

If you choose not to take responsibility for your life and not to accept certain situations, events and people, then there will be little expansion, and you will remain forever fragmented from the truth, your power and the oneness that connects us all.

Often we find ourselves in situations which we created, consciously or unconsciously. We put ourselves on the vibration and manifested a life, situation, person, or task that we now find uncomfortable.

When ever you are in a state of suffering, resistance, or denial you are giving away your power. Your power is your ability to create your life and anything in it, but when you step into any of those states you step out of your power.

At times we may need to step into those states and dive deep because there is something larger we must work through on a spiritual level, but not all of the time. Simply accepting a state, sometimes is in fact the best soulful solution.

You cannot transcend any situation fully without seeing it beyond the story, beyond the interpretation and seeing is for what it is. When you create a clear frame of mind you are able to be the observer behind the situation rather than the being immersed in the situation. When you step your awareness back, into a higher level you are able to detach from the mental labels that you have assigned to the situation. When you become the observer, see the situation for what it truly is, you can then move forward and accept it without judgement or condemnation.

Yes, the ego may pack a tantrum. Yes, you may feel that you are giving up something. Yes, you may be uncomfortable. However, you will get back to soul, you will see the intricate nature of the situation and all that is. You will see that beyond the suffering is a place where the soul can reside with acceptance of both the human elements of oneself and the inner spiritual elements of oneself.

We are both physical and non-physical. Learning to embrace acceptance means you are taking responsibility for your life. You are taking responsibility for the one thing that you have control over. You.

If you choose not to take responsibility for your life and not to accept certain situations, events and people, then there will be little expansion, and you will remain forever fragmented from the truth, your power and the oneness that connects us all.

Acceptance leads to expansion.
Let acceptance be your present focus, not denial.
Let yourself be where you are, without judgment.
Let yourself work through your stories, and let yourself release your past.

Who or what do you need to accept today?

HuffPost's GPS for the Soul app is based on two truths about human beings. First: We all have a centered place of wisdom, harmony and balance within us. Second: We're all going to veer away from that place, again and again and again. What we need is a great course-correcting mechanism -- a GPS for the Soul -- to help us find our way back to that centered place, from which everything is possible.

Because no one knows better than you what helps you de-stress and tap into that place of peace inside yourself, it's important for you to create your very own GPS guide -- a personalized collection of whatever helps you course-correct. Email us at GPS@huffingtonpost.com and we'll set you up with your very own HuffPost blogger account to share your guide on the site. If you're already a blogger, we encourage you to upload your personal guide today. We can't wait to see what you have to share.
