Christina Aguilera Gets Second Chance To Sing National Anthem After Super Bowl Fail

Second Chance?

Everyone deserves a second chance.

That's what the Brooklyn Cyclones believe, anyway.

The Mets' minor league affiliate is offering Christina Aguilera an opportunity to give the national anthem another go.

The pop singer flubbed the Star Spangled Banner's lyrics during the Super Bowl on Sunday. When Aguilera was supposed to sing the line "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," she instead repeated an earlier line, with a small variation.

"When a player makes a mistake, they usually don't get a shot at redemption, but with a singer, that's a different story," said Cyclones General Manager Steve Cohen.

No word yet from Aguilera's people on whether she'll accept the offer.
