Aisha McClinton Accused Of Using 'Intimate Area' To Smuggle Gun Into Prison

Woman Accused Of Using 'Intimate Area' To Smuggle Gun Into Prison

A woman who was visiting an inmate at the Stateville Correctional Center has been sentenced after allegedly trying to smuggle a gun into the prison--by concealing it in her "intimate area."

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Aisha N. McClinton, 33, was visiting a man serving a life sentence for murder at the Joliet prison and would not allow officers to search her car. Eventually, she relented.

After McClinton changed her mind, one officer found cannabis under her seat, while another saw something else.

While court records say the officer saw a 9mm handgun come from McClinton’s waistband, police report the firearm appeared to have been concealed in an “intimate area” of her anatomy. No reports have been more specific.

The alleged incident happened on March 14, 2010, according to the Sun-Times. She was booked in a county jail last week after being sentenced to 120 days in prison and two years of probation.
