Early in the third period of Washington's Tuesday night game against Montreal, Capitals star delivered a devastating hip check to Canadiens defensemen P.K. Subban. After Subban got the puck at his own blue line, he started charging toward the Capitals zone. But Ovechkin was waiting for him at center ice and sent the 21-year-old flying. Subban flipped over and fell on his face, but got back up immediately and went after Ovechkin. The Canadiens went on to win 3-2 in a shootout. Scroll down to watch the video.
