Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, two of Broadway's fiercest talents, are coming back to Feinstein’s/54 Below to perform their show Alice Ripley & Emily Skinner: Unattached! Two decades ago, the duo famously played conjoined twins, the Hilton sisters, in the beloved Broadway musical Side Show. (They even made history as the first women to be co-nominated for a Best Actress Tony Award.)

Ever since, their individual careers have continued to blossom. Ripley and Skinner have starred in many Broadway shows including Sunset Boulevard, The Full Monty, Next To Normal (for which Ripley won a Tony Award), Billy Elliot, The Rocky Horror Show, Prince of Broadway and more.

Yet, their magical mojo materializes when they sing together. "We yin and yang each other. I’m super Type A and want to over talk and overthink everything. Alice is from a different gene pool. She is much more spontaneous," says Skinner. "I also believe we are well-matched in both our talent and ferocity. Neither one of us gets cast as lightweight women." Ripley concurs. "I have sung with hundreds, maybe thousands, of other people, so has Emily," says Ripley. "But what happens with Emily doesn’t happen with anybody else in my life. Technically our voices match like puzzle pieces. The world that our voices live in together is a special place. We also have a lot of vulnerability and strength at the same time."

Ripley and Skinner perform an an eclectic mix of knockout songs from Shaina Taub to Stephen Sondheim with some Harry Nilsson too. Infusing passion and silliness these storytellers masterfully take the audience on a journey. They sing songs about sisterhood, love and, as Ripley says, “embracing radical self acceptance.”

Ripley and Skinner will perform at the glamorous supper club Feinstein’s/54 Below November 28 to December 6. For more information visit here.
