The American Music Awards just took center stage and with the great performances came some incredible looks that we’re sure to see being worn this season. For those that loved what they saw, you’d be surprised at how easy some of the styles are to achieve. Here are some tips on how to get those fabulous looks:

Let’s take Kelly Clarkson. Here hair had an all over darker base color which looked naturally sun touched with lighter strands throughout. This is a trending look that is easy to create in the salon by requesting that your hairdresser apply color using a Balyage or Color Melt technique. To finish off Kelly’s look just part the hair down the middle, blow dry, and utilize a flat iron to achieve a smooth straight end product. If you like natural looks, this is perfect for you.

Salena Gomez stunned as always with her beautiful beach waves. This style is so popular this season and it’s not difficult to create. To achieve this look use a styling product on wet hair such as a workable gel or a mousse. Begin by emulsifying the product in your hands and then spread it evenly throughout the hair. Next, use a curling iron to create the waves. This can be accomplished by taking a section of hair and wrapping it around the barrel leaving the ends out. For softer waves, take larger section of hair and for tighter waves, take smaller sections. The outcome of this look is always beautiful.

Ciara captivated us with her gorgeous wet look. It was absolutely stunning. Here, start by shampooing the hair. Follow this by applying a firm holding gel and then, gently scrunch the hair into the palms of your hands. Next, refrain from doing much more, just let the hair dry naturally for a terrific look.

Curls are always something to be admired. Both Traci Ellis and Diana Ross wore them effortlessly. Nothing is better than watching people embrace this feature that so many of us wish we had. If you have them, wear them! Either naturally or with a styling product worked through.

Sadie Sink and Demi Lavato were equally eye catching. To get this look part the hair on one side. Then, use a curling iron and take the first section of hair a few inches down from the scalp. Next, curl the hair under using a ¾ turn. Make sure to leave the ends out when curling. Repeat by moving two to three inches down and doing the same action. Finish by brushing through the hair to soften the bend.

AMA hair was fun, yet stylish, and easy to duplicate. This made many styles perfect fits for everyday settings. Everyone seemed to be in their own element; matching their personality with their individual style to create their unique look. Can’t want to see which one would you try!
