Apparently No One At The AmfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Cares About Rules (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: No One At The AmfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Cares About Rules

Oh, celebrities. You never cease to amaze us with your disregard for rules. Take the amFar Cinema Against AIDS Gala at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night, for example. You knew the red dress theme was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. But you didn't care, did you? And why should you? You know we're just going to discuss your looks either way -- good or bad.

Still, it seems like aside from Sharon Stone (who rocked it, by the way,) others strayed away from wearing the fiery hue. Regardless, stars still stepped out for the evening dedicated to a great cause in some amazing looks and some not-so-amazing looks. Here are our picks for best and worst dressed of the night.

Coco Rocha

The hair, the Jean Paul Gaultier chevron print mullet dress ... it's all a bit too much.

Lara Stone

After Ms. Stone's style home run on Wednesday, there was really nowhere else for her to go but with this embellished, vintage Versace bralet/skirt combo. It's not our favorite, but if there's anyone who can pull it off, it's her.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Somehow she makes a Roberto Cavalli gown with a thigh-high slit and lots of cleavage look sexy. Teach us your ways, Alessandra. Please?

Marion Cotillard

Three words: Too. Much. Fabric. Sorry, Marion. This is a fail. Even if it is Alexander McQueen.

Liu Wen

This Vionnet dress is beautiful. Everything from the pale blue color to the classic cut-outs are perfection. Way to go, Liu Wen.

Jane Fonda

This Atelier Versace gown fits her perfectly. We love that Fonda kept her accessories to a minimum, allowing the embellished piece to speak for itself.

Conchita Wurst

We love you, Conchita. But we don't really LOVE all this sparkle.

Sharon Stone

Yes! Everything about this Roberto Cavalli gown is great. Just the right amount of skin, THE RIGHT COLOR, and not to mention Ms. Stone is looking seriously gorgeous.

Jourdan Dunn

We have to forgive Ms. Dunn for ignoring the red dress theme, but only because she's wearing this amazing chartreuse Balmain dress. Love.

Heidi Klum

The hair is reminiscent of old Hollywood, but the Atelier Versace dress just looks like vintage figure skating.

What were some of your favorite looks of the night? Sound off below!
