Amy Robach To Undergo Further Treatment For Cancer (VIDEO)

Amy Robach Updates Viewers On Her Health

Amy Robach appeared on Thursday's "Good Morning America" to update viewers on her latest health battle.

The ABC News correspondent told the co-hosts of "GMA" that she is undergoing additional chemotherapy after finding out that her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and that she has another malignant tumor. She underwent a double mastectomy three weeks ago, and it was then that doctors made the discovery.

Thursday marked Robach's first appearance on the air since the procedure and despite the latest challenge, Robach maintained a positive tone. "I'm going to work through it," she said, telling Robin Roberts, "You give me strength, Robin, because it is important to get up and have something to do each day, even if you don’t feel great."

Roberts battled breast cancer, and more recently, MDS. Robach plans to return to work as scheduled and work during her chemotherapy treatment.

"Some people have it harder than I do so I will take it hour by hour," she added.
