Some say experience matters in the NBA, and the Denver Nuggets went to their most experienced player in the final seconds of their playoff opener against the Warriors.

Stephen Curry had tied the game at 95 with a 3-pointer and left 14.5 seconds on the clock. Having already score 16 points in the fourth quarter, the 37-year-old Andre Miller went one-on-one with Golden State's Draymond Green from the top of the key. Once the clock ticked down to five seconds, the veteran point guard drove into the paint, beat Green to the basket and made a contested reverse layup.

With no timeouts left in the game, the Warriors couldn't get a shot off and the Nuggets went on to win 97-95.

"The play was for me. I had to do something," Miller said after the game, via the team's official Twitter account.

Miller, in his 13th season in the NBA, finished with a playoff career-high 28 points, five assists and made 11 of 16 shots from the field in Denver's Game 1 victory.
