D.C.-Area Dogs, Cats, Bunnies And A Turtle Need New Homes This Spring

Spring is the season of new beginnings. It's also when going outside starts seeming like a good idea again.

Put these together and you've got the perfect time for adopting yourself a new pet -- like one of these gorgeous babies:

Making it even a little more perfect: the Washington Humane Society and the Washington Animal Rescue League are both offering half-off adoption fees until March 31.

This week's adoptable animals are a sweet bunch of cuties -- they come from the the Washington Humane Society, the Montgomery County Humane Society, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, the Washington Animal Rescue League and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

And don't forget that the Washington Humane Society's Fashion For Paws fundraiser is coming up on April 13.
