WATCH: Anti-Redskins Ad To Air During NBA Finals

Opponents of the name of the NFL's Washington Redskins are set to take their fight to the NBA Finals. As first reported by the Washington Post, an anti-Redskins ad is set to air in seven cities across the country during halftime of Game 3 of the best-of-seven series between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation in California paid for the one-minute ad titled "Proud To Be" to be aired during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday evening, reported the Washington Post. The ad lists the tribe names and words that Native Americans proudly use to describe themselves. As the poignant video nears its end, the narrator says, "Native Americans call themselves many things, the one thing they don’t..." At that point, an image of a Washington Redskins helmet is shown.

A two-minute version of the ad was posted to YouTube by the National Congress of American Indians in January, shortly before the most Super Bowl.
