Your Favorite Paintings Come To Life In These Disturbingly Hilarious Animations (NSFW)

This strange and hilarious video comes to us courtesy of animators Doug Bayne, Ben Baker and Trudy Cooper. They took some of the world's most famous artworks -- think Grant Wood's "American Gothic" and Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" -- and turned them into a gut-busting collection of dark and disturbing animated shorts.

Imagine if the Monty Python comedians slaved over photoshop to create a cartoon art history filled with cheeky gore, silly voice-overs and obnoxiously bad jokes. Essentially, it's amazing. But be warned, it can get a little bloody.

The animation first appeared on the Australian show “The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting." H/t Design Taxi.
