Austin Pacheco Field Goal: High School Kicker Nails 64-Yard Game-Winner (VIDEO)

High School Kicker Makes 64-Yard Game-Winner

If you thought Sebastian Janikowski's record-tying 63-yard field goal in Week 1 was impressive, wait until you see this.

Tied at 24 with 27.4 seconds left in Carson High's game against Bishop Manogue on Saturday in Reno, Nev., Senators kicker Austin Pacheco ran onto the field to attempt a 64-yard field goal. Not only did Pacheco make it (with some help from the wind), but it appeared as if he would have made it from a longer distance. The Nevada Appeal noted that it was the second-longest field goal in state history and four yards shy of Reno High's Dirk Borgognone's record kick in 1985.

"I knew it was good as soon as I hit it," Pacheco said after Carson's 27-24 win. "The snap was perfect and the hold was perfect . The wind was blowing to the right and I played it perfectly."

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, it was the third field goal this season in Northern Nevada that was from more than 50 yards out.
