Charles Osgood has been a photojournalist for over 40 years. In addition to his many, many years with the Chicago Tribune and his partnership with Rick Kogan on the "Sidewalks" column and books, Chuck's assignments have ranged from covering South Side murders on the midnight shift, to food and fashion in the color studio, and from covering the turmoil in Northern Ireland and the aftermath of the war in Bosnia, to the economic upheaval in the Soviet Union. He also had his own column, "Chicago Arts," consisting of a photo and caption, in the early 1990s.

I was lucky enough to follow Chuck around one day for Fear No ART Chicago on a few city photo shoots and got to see firsthand the life of a photojournalist on the streets. We also sat down for some pie during his last shoot of the day at Hoosier Mama pie shop.
