Best Athlete Tweets Of The Week (January 30th-February 7th): Super Bowl Edition

Super Bowl Edition Of Best Athlete Tweets Of The Week

This week's edition best athlete tweets mostly gives a nod to the most important sporting event of the year, but also has a few other interesting nuggets mixed in. Perhaps the most fascinating individual twitter revelation this week was made by someone not connected to football at all. Shaquille O'Neal took to the Twittersphere to congratulate ex-teammate and foe Kobe Bryant for passing him on the all-time scoring list, calling Bryant the greatest Laker of all-time. We didn't see that one coming.

We've once again scoured our timeline from the past week to bring you what we believe to be the best of the best that athletes have to offer via Twitter. Vote on which athlete you believe had this week's best tweet. The winner will be given remarkable Interweb cred and 140 characters worth of salutations via the @HuffPostSports Twitter account.

This week's tweet of the week belongs to Wes Welker, who couldn't wait to play in the Super Bowl.

As we all know, things didn't work out for Wes as he might have hoped, but he's still quite deserving of Twitter adulation none the less, so please give him a follow @WesWelker.
